Whether you use self-pay or insurance, you can view itemized statements for your invoices in your Swing Care patient portal, by going to the Documents section on the left hand sidebar.
If you are using insurance, here are the key details about your itemized statement:
- Date of Service: The date that the service was given (e.g. the date of an appointment).
- Status: The current status of each claim submitted to your insurance, and whether it is pending, processed, or paid.
- Allowed Amount: The amount your insurance plan allows for the service, based on your coverage.
- Insurance Payment: The amount that your insurance has paid for the service.
- Patient Responsibility: The portion of the cost that you are responsible for as the patient.
- Patient Payments: Any payments you have already made toward the total.
- Current Balance: The remaining amount owed toward the total.
